Icelandic horse magazine Eiðfaxi invites horse enthusiasts near and far to watch a breeding show called “Vorkvöld í Reykjavík” (“A spring evening in Reykjavík”). It will take place in Víðidalur next Saturday, 8 May, at 5 pm UTC, and broadcast in live streaming.

Icelandic horse magazine Eiðfaxi invites horse enthusiasts near and far to watch a breeding show called “Vorkvöld í Reykjavík” (“A spring evening in Reykjavík”). It will take place in Víðidalur next Saturday, 8 May, at 5 pm UTC, and broadcast in live streaming.

“‘Vorkvöld í Reykjavík’ will be similar to the show which proved so successful last year and we called ‘Eiðfaxi’s Breeding Day’,” says Gísli Guðjónsson, editor of Eiðfaxi. “Many superb riders will participate in the show with their very best horses.”

Among them are Sindri frá Hjarðartúni, who, at only 5 years of age, received 8.75 for riding abilities, 8.25 for conformation and 8.58 in total score; Askur frá Enni of Loki frá Selfossi and Sending frá Enni, who has garnered attention for his spirit and footwork; and Hylur frá Flagbjarnarholti, the stallion with the highest score for conformation to date: 9.09.

Eiðfaxi is collaborating with ProMynd, which will broadcast the event by live streaming. Access to the broadcast costs EUR 16 and it can also be watched later. The commentary will be in Icelandic and English.

Spectators will be able to attend the event in person in line with the current gathering restrictions and disease prevention regulations. The arrangement will be explained on eidfaxi.is.
