The marketing project Horses of Iceland has signed a new four-year contract with the state and one of its first projects after the new contract was signed, is to introduce the Icelandic horse at Europe's largest equestrian fair, Equitana in Essen, Germany.

The fair is held every two years and is usually attended by about 200 thousand people. It runs from 7 - 13 April and has enjoyed immense popularity for years and this year 50 years of Equitana will be celebrated.

Equitana's evening shows will feature scenes with the Icelandic horse by the group from Lixhof, and a magnificent video from Horses of Iceland will also be shown on a 90 m long screen, which will attract the attention of thousands of guests, as the evening shows are hugely popular.

Horses of Iceland has a stand in the area (Stand 6G43) and is for the first time in collaboration with the Icelandic Horse Association (IPZV) in Germany.

The last day of the show, the 13th of April is the Hrímnir Isi Cup, which is an Icelandic horse competition and this day will be entirely dedicated to the Icelandic horse. The competition starts at 15:00 in hall 5. It is clear that the Icelandic horse will come strong to Equitana this year and attract a lot of attention from show guests.
